My name is Blake Wilfong, and I've been a resident of Houston, Texas since my birth in 1964. I received a B.A. in Computer Science from Rice University in 1986, and spent the next seven years as a NASA consultant. My interests include science fiction, cooperative DOOM games, New Age music, pretty ladies, and (of course) dreams.
I believe mankind has grossly neglected sleep and dream research. Consider: why didn't the first animal that needed sleep die out in competition with others that didn't? Sleep must serve a purpose so vastly important that it outweighs the incredible evolutionary disadvantage of spending time immobile and helpless. Fine--but what purpose?
Science has yet to solve this mystery. Until it does, I endeavor to generate interest and disseminate information on dreams. And who knows? One of you, dear readers, might become the Isaac Newton of dreamland!
